To-do guide before hiring a Carpet Cleaning Hartford CT Company

When hiring carpet cleaning Hartford, we sometimes expect too much without telling them what we want. This is where the difficulty between the client and carpet cleaning Hartford companies comes into play. For conflicts to be avoided, it is greatly recommended that communication must be a priority. The carpet cleaning Hartford companies must present the services they offer, explain what it will do or provide so that the consumer may not be expecting things that are not offered by carpet cleaning Hartford companies. For your own benefit, here are some information and guides.
Before you hire a carpet cleaning Hartford company, it is important that you know these things.

When finding a carpet cleaning Hartford agent that is good for you, you must do your own share of research. Always remember that you must establish a favorable relationship with a carpet cleaning company and this starts with an open communication.

Also, when you want to know how things work, continue reading and researching on which carpet cleaning Hartford do you want to hire. Likewise, you must also know which carpet cleaning Hartford services you would want to have.

Another important consideration of the carpet cleaning Hartford Company has a license and insurance. Let them explain what the insurance will cover, and also let them explain in detail the services they provide so that you will completely understand it.

You have to also ask carpet cleaning Hartford whether there are other services they would need to do to your home, and ask them if they will let you know before they perform the said service. Your carpet cleaning Hartford will then at least know that you want to have complete knowledge of what services you would want to have, and you will also know the extra charges you have to pat your carpet cleaning Hartford.

You must also ask your carpet cleaning Hartford for the estimate of the price you are going to pay for having their services. If you have other safety concerns, you must then raise this with your carpet cleaning Hartford. For instance, tell your carpet cleaning Hartford which details you would want to be cleaned or if you have problems with chemicals. Also let your carpet cleaning Hartford know whether you would prefer the cleaning to be done at a certain time during the day. Also ask how many crews will the carpet cleaning Hartford will send to do the job.

Determine the Price of Carpet Cleaning Hartford CT

Of course our carpets get all dusty and messy, and we really would find ourselves in a situation that carpet cleaning is a must. Most companies that offer carpet cleaning determine their own prices, and usually they are not that affordable. Carpet cleaning, just like carpet cleaning Hartford usually base their prices on the method used in cleaning your carpet, the location of the store, and the level of service being offered. If you find this too complicated, then you can rely on these two ways to determine or to estimate the cost of carpet cleaning Hartford.

The first basis for carpet cleaning Hartford is the area of the room. Carpet cleaning companies usually use this for setting the price when cleaning, and it is usually the standard. So when you call carpet cleaning Hartford over the phone and have them give you an estimate of the price you are going to pay if you have your carpets cleaned, they can give you a relatively accurate amount on the phone basing on the size of the room. The standard room area for a single room set by carpet cleaning Hartford would usually range between two hundred to three hundred square feet. If your room will exceed the two-hundred to three-hundred standards, then you will be charged by carpet cleaning Hartford for the price of two rooms.

The other way to determine the price for having your carpets cleaned the carpet cleaning Hartford company needs to check your area personally to do the estimating onsite. The method used by carpet cleaning Hartford for calculating the price you are going to pay is by square foot. When you call carpet cleaning Hartford over the phone, they may be able to give you a rough estimate of the price by square foot. But, for carpet cleaning Hartford to know the exact amount for cleaning your carpets, they really need to go to your house and measure the area of the room.

Carpet cleaning Hartford companies have different ways of taking the measurement of your carpet— either they measure the whole room or they only take the measurement of the space that is found in between your furniture.

Carpet cleaning Hartford may really come in affordable and competitive prices. But, you must always take into consideration that other carpet cleaning Hartford CT may give you lower prices but the service they offer might also be unsatisfactory.

Carpet Cleaning in Fairfield CT Customer Review

“Superior, customer friendly and professional service – We recieved a call to confirm our apointment and a call from the serviceman as he was arriving.  [We recieved] a follow-up call afterwards to see if we were satisfied and that all went well.

The serviceman did several things that were very beneficial: (1) he went over the area for cleeaning and fully explained his process and gave an estimate and price for  the work; (2) he demonstrated certain specifics he was doing while cleaning; (3) he was exceptionally professional – a breathe of fresh air to say the least.

A follow-up call was quite nice – I explained that a spot seemed to still be evident on the capet that must have seeped up after cleaning.  The representative, without hesitation, setup a subsequent appointment to clean it up!  The spot was cleaned up and why it returned fully explained!  Once again the serviceman was wonderful. Thanks very much for your uniquely professional service.”

Professional Carpet Cleaning Ellington CT Testimonial

“Two firms were contacted in the third week of June 2008 and asked to provide a quotation for the cleaning of carpets of a kitchen, half bathroom, lounge, stairs, landing and master bedroom.  It was explained that there were seven people occupying the house including five children and also a cat.

The two firms were Professional Carpet Systems (PCS) a franchise of an international flooring specialty service company and Carpet ****** a local company based in South Windsor.

Both companies were equally pleasant, professional, helpful and courteous when contacted, and both offered cleaning appointments with just a few days wait.

However, the prices quoted were radically different with PCS costing around 130% more than Carpet ******.

Both firms were asked to come and provide their cleaning services.  Since PCS offered a 100 square feet free trial offer they were taken up on that offer and scored exclusively on how they performed in cleaning that area.  Carpet ****** were scored on how well they performed in the cleaning the remaining 600 square feet of carpet.

PCS:  Two PCS male personnel arrived punctually wearing PCS logo uniform.  They introduced themselves courteously and spent around fifteen minutes measuring the carpet area, looking at where there were stains and asking questions about the origins and ages of the stains.  They confirmed their quotation and then asked about which area of carpet they could demonstrate their services on as a trial area.
The area PCS was asked to clean was the most substantially stained and soiled area in the household.  It is the area of the living room leading in from the front door and where the TV is situated.  All the members of the household walk through, sit, play and eat in that area daily.  That area of carpet was spotted with a multitude of different types of stains ranging from dirt to different stains from foods and beverages.

PCS took less than five minutes to get their equipment set up.  Their tank remained in their van which was parked int he driveway and the used their engine to heat it.  They brought in a sprayer and firstly sprayed a thin layer of detergent upon a section of carpet and then used a steam cleaner combined suction device attached to a long hose which led back to the van.

PCS spent around thirty minutes on the 100 square foot area.  They worked through small sections of carpet methodically and thoroughly covering around 8-10 square feet at a time.  In each area they worked on each stain individually as well as performing a general clean.  At the sides of the carpet they paid especial attention to removing the black edge of soil and even cleaned the baseboards.

The transformation from a much stained and soiled section of carpet to a light beige almost pristine section of carpet was close to miraculous.   There was almost no evidence of the former staining or soil except for the very faint remains of a small red stain.

The PCS personnel accepted without any argument or pressure the refusal to enter into a contract to perform any more cleaning and packed up their items and left the house pleasantly and courteously even offering to supply a booklet on how to remove spots and stains from carpets in between cleanings.

The carpet took around six hours to fully dry and on inspection looked very clean and a much brighter color.

Carpet ******:  Carpet ****** was initially scheduled to start cleaning at 12:30 pm but after a request to bring forward the start time agreed to come at 11:30 am.  The change in time was agreed pleasantly and with helpful courtesy.  However, despite the rescheduling, the solo Carpet ****** cleaner arrived very close to 12:30 pm as initially scheduled.  The cleaner was pleasant and well turned out in a logo bearing uniform.

The Carpet ****** cleaner viewed the areas that he was due to clean but showed little interest in stains, instead he exhibited much more interest in what few pieces of furniture had to be moved.

Set up took around thirty-five minutes with the cleaner brining the tank close to the front door and plugging it into an electric outlet of the house.  He then proceeded to fill his tank with hot water and waited for it to heat up further.

Cleaning started in the kitchen and proceeded swiftly, the cleaner claimed to have finished cleaning the kitchen, half bathroom and the remaining half of the living room after around fifteen minutes, most of which he worked without supervision.  Upon very cursory inspection it was clear that the cleaner had not cleaned any of the edges and upon request the cleaner made some attempt to vacuum up some of the crumbs in those places but grumbled that he should already have finished work for the day and that it was unreasonable fussiness.  The cleaner made little attempt to remove stains in those places despite being requested to.  He said that his equipment did not enable him to remove stains or soil around the edges.

At that point the cleaner was told that he would be receiving a large tip if he put his effort into performing a good clean.  The cleaner stopped grumbling and moved upstairs again proceeding to work swiftly without supervision and claiming to have finished the upstairs master bedroom and landing after around ten minutes.  The cleaner then claimed to have cleaned the stairway after another five minutes but after being prompted that the stairway still had grime showing on it he made some further effort spending another five minutes on the stairs.  The cleaner then stated that he had spent almost twice as long as scheduled in the house and that he could not do anymore.  When asked about the Teflon coating that had been paid for in addition to the cleaning he said that it was in the liquid used.

After being paid $130 for the cleaning and a $30 tip the cleaner said a courteous thank you but did not supply a receipt, he left the premises pleasantly but forgot to take a container with him.

The carpet took around twelve hours to fully dry and on inspection looked somewhat cleaner and bright but most of the stains were just as evident and the edges were still very grimy.  In several areas including around the toilet and behind the door the cleaner had quite obviously failed to perform any cleaning at all since the area was completely dry.

A week later:  The are that PCS cleaned is still clean and spot free.  The area the Carpet ****** cleaned is now showing many of the spots and stains that initially seemed to have been eradicated in the cleaning.  In the lounge there is a stark difference between the two sections of carpet with the area that PCS cleaned looking appreciably brighter than the area Carpet ****** cleaned.

Summary: PCS are expensive but they provide a truly professional service actually eliminating stains and soil and thoroughly cleaning the carpet.

Carpet ****** provides a service similar to that which you can obtain using a cheap home system.  However, because they restrict the time of their cleaners so dramatically, they have no time to tackle any stains so the effect is much less impressive than when a householder cleans his own carpets.  The spots they appear to remove at cleaning annoyingly pop back up.  Also, because Carpet ****** apparently fails to provide equipment necessary to do sides and edges, those remain disappointingly grimy.

In summary if you need a carpet properly cleaned it would be well worth the extra money to use PCS.  If you can’t afford PCS just buy a home system and do the cleaning yourself.”

Calculating carpet cleaning costs in New Haven, Fairfield, Hartford CT

There are times when you might have wished to hire a professional carpet cleaning New Haven Company that sweeps up the dirt and stains that have soiled your precious carpet. However, you also change your mind at that instant because of the amount it might cost you if you hire professional help in New Haven Connecticut. How much really is the cost of a carpet cleaning?

Generally, pricing a service fee for a carpet depends on the methods and techniques used, the chemicals involved and your location. Nevertheless, there are two basic ways to know the cost of carpet cleaning New Haven:

First is by room. This is the most popular but not practical method employed by carpet cleaning New Haven Companies. This is done by giving an estimate through the phone without even seeing the house. The companies based their estimates somewhere between 200 and 300 square feet. If the room of your house exceeds their standard size preference you might be charged for two rooms instead of just one. The service fees also include normal spotting and pre-treatment. For this reason, try to avoid cleaning companies who use such method.

The second one is square foot pricing. This method usually requires men from carpet cleaning Fairfield companies to come over the house of their clients to do an on-site estimate. They will measure the whole room or just the available space around your furniture and multiply them by square foot rate. It is the same with the first method as it also includes the service fee of normal spotting and pre-treatment.

If you have decided to go forth and hire a carpet cleaning Hartford Company, I suggest you choose the company that offers the second method of pricing. This way you wouldn’t feel cheated and you will be able to see for yourself how they came up with such figures. Furthermore, as the sizes of the rooms in your house vary, then the first option is not really sensible and realistic to use.
You should also ask your chosen carpet cleaning New Haven Company of the miscellaneous fees they are charging. For example, if they have to move furniture would that be an extra charge? Ask them to keep your transactions transparent, meaning to say you will be able to see and double check the details of service fee they imposed on you. Be proactive and don’t give them a chance to take advantage of you!
