Now you can have those unsightly problems fixed fast, fixed right, and priced reasonably. Our Specialists are trained by the IICRC and are equipped with expert repair techniques to take care of any type of repair that you may need.
After a period of time, depending on soiling, traffic and installation of your carpeting you may need to have your carpet re-stretched. At Professional Carpet Systems we have IICRC Repair Specialists on staff that will skillfully re-stretch your carpet back into place. If you have “buckles” or “ripples” in your carpet we recommend that you have your carpeting re-stretched. Having a properly stretched carpet is a key factor in extending the lifetime of your carpeting. When your carpeting has “buckles” or “ripples” in it, it is subjected to unnecessary wear. This unnecessary wear will ultimately lead to the de-lamination of your carpet and untimely replacement costs.
When Professional Carpet Systems re-stretches your carpet we use a power-stretcher to get your carpet as tight or tighter than when it was new. In fact, the CRI actually has a standard that requires all residential carpeting to be stretched using a power stretcher. The use of a power stretcher makes it less likely that your carpet will re-ripple, unless there are other extenuating circumstances.
We can also tighten loose carpet and fix those areas where the carpet has come out of the metal edging. It is no longer necessary to live with carpets that have torn or loose seams, wrinkled areas or burned spots. Professional Carpet Systems in Connecticut can handle these challenges in a timely and very professional manner at prices that will pleasantly please you. After all, that is why we are called Professional Carpet Systems. And most importantly, all repairs are guaranteed for the life of your carpet.
Carpet Dyeing
At Professional Carpet Systems we offer both spot dyeing and full carpet dyeing.
RESTORE-IT™ Technology For Bleach Spot Repair
With RESTORE-IT™ Technology it is no longer necessary to replace a carpet because of color loss. At Professional Carpet Systems we have the ability to “Spot Dye” your carpeting back to its original color. We use dyes that are specially formulated for your carpet’s fibers that gives a color that looks and lasts like factory-dyed originals. Professional Carpet Systems’ “Lifetime Guarantee*” assures you that the color dyed into your carpet will never streak, track-off or wash away. Our dyes are permanent and colorfast and we will guarantee that for the life of your carpeting*.
*We guarantee the color that we put into your carpet for the lifetime of your carpet as long as you have Professional Carpet Systems in each you to clean and maintain your carpeting.
In most cases we are able to replace the missing colors from your carpet with our spot dyeing process. The dyes that we use are the same types of dyes that were used to originally dye your carpets. How the process works is our specialist will assess the state of bleach spot and then apply a product that stabilizes the carpet and prepares it to accept the dye. The specialist will then begin to apply the missing colors to the affected area. Dye colors are applied one at a time until the closest to original color is achieved. In most cases we are able to achieve a perfect match and if not make the affected area at least 95% better than it was as a bleach spot.
FULL CARPET DYEING
Yes, we are able to actually change the color of a carpet. However, the carpet dyeing process is only effective on nylon and wool carpets. Additionally, it is also best to stay within the same color family to get the best looking end product. With carpet dyeing you cannot make the carpet go lighter…only darker than its original color.
How the process works is our specialist will first give the carpeting a thorough cleaning to make sure that he has a carpet that is free of all foreign materials and anything that may affect the dyes. Next, the technician will mix the color that the carpet will be dyed to. Also mixed into this solution is a product that will make the carpet accept the dyes more easily. The technician will then apply the dye to the carpeting to change the color. You do not need to worry about dye getting on the walls because our technicians use dye shields that will protect the walls during the dye process. Finally the technician will groom the dye into the carpet and the process is complete. It is recommended that the room not be used for at least 24 hours or until the carpet is completely dry.
Because the dyes are water based expect dry times of at least 24 hours.
